This isn’t really something I ever thought I was going to do, so it’s a little bit of a surprise to me too but I’m excited about this. I feel like I’m challenging myself by doing this. I want people to see I’m proud of my body and that I’m proud of being a woman. I might not be the typical idea of what people find attractive in a woman, but this is me and I’m happy with who I am!”

In the past layouts we’ve done of nude celebrities, we find that more often than not, the women we shoot need a bit of convincing that they’re attractive. It’s not even false modesty. It’s a genuine feeling. It shows that there’s real self-doubt even with the most gorgeous and famous women in the world. Kristen doesn’t come across to us like she’s riddled with insecurity, but at the same time any doubt in her mind that she doesn’t have the kind of body that shows just how beautiful a woman can be seems utterly insane to us and we tell her that.

“Well sometimes I just feel that all guys care about are big tits,” Kristen says. “That’s something I don’t have and I’m not about to go under the knife to make my boobs bigger. I got small tits and a big butt and sometimes I wonder if I might be better off having that reversed. But I like me. My boyfriend likes me. And I guess your readers like me, which is something that really makes me feel good. I see your magazine and I see girls like Britney Spears and Scarlett Johansson pose for you and to be in that group is pretty much a feather in my cap…if I was wearing a cap at all.”

Because yes, Kristen is not wearing a cap. In fact she’s not wearing anything at all. And that’s fine with us because it gives us a great chance to stare at nude Kristen Bell’s ass. On House of Lies, Kristen is certainly playing a different kind of character from the upstanding and moral characters she usually does. This is no Veronica Mars and with the show airing its season finale on April 1 and a return set for the fall, Kristen is really embracing the moral ambiguity of her character.

“I’ve never played a character like Jeannie before,” Kristen says. “She’s not shy and she makes difficult choices that I wouldn’t always make in my own life but at the same time she’s a damaged and very vulnerable woman. I certainly identify with having to put forth a hard shell while at the same time you are at war with your own choices and unsure of a path. It’s a great character to play and I’m happy we’re going to have a chance to do more episodes and really get into what makes her who she is.”

Kristen stripped down to her bra and panties for House of Lies, a clip that had her sensually moving her ass in those tight panties certainly gave her fans palpitations. But she never did the nude scene that some of her co-stars did. So this is really the first chance for a nude Kristen Bell shot and she knows it.

“It’s a new challenge and I like new challenges,” the very naked actress says proudly. “This is new and a little scary, but I’m having fun and I hope it shows in your photos. I’m proud of my body and proud of being a woman.”
